Question What boost is more fun to drive?

What boost is more fun to drive? Procharger boost or turbo? Ive driven turbo cars and it's fun to get hit with all that boost at once, but never driven a pro charged car whats the boost feel like?

It all comes down to personal preference. Until you have ridden in/driven both yourself it's hard to make an educated decision. Having owned both a TT car and a procharged car I definitely appreciate the quick snappy throttle response and predictability of the procharger. However, you will see threads where people are switching back and forth between blower and turbo all day here on tech.

It depends on how you drive. If you like to hang your stuff sideways and steer with your right foot rather then the wheel, PD blower. If you want ***** out straight line acceleration, then Turbo.

Stalled,smaller-ish than needed turbo.that spools very quick. On Thr street it will feel too quick. And then just click off low 10s at the track

Hmmm....I think, I smile a lot more whenever I hit the boost on my twinturbo ls1 compared to when I used to hit the boost on my old Procharged '95 lt1 383 camaro.

What about adding a procharger to an already strong NA car .

I'm hoping that running between 7-10psi of boost will result in a big cube feel.

IMO Procharger = street car. Turbo = race car. I love my procharger, my car drives like stock till I lay into it. They are simple to install and you will pick around a 100rwhp depending on your mods.

A turbo car with a manual transmission is probably my favorite. Where an automatic would downshift, you can ride the higher gears a little harder in a manual car and enjoy the torque surge that the turbos give you in almost any gear you pick.

Comparing ANY LT1 to an LS1 is apples to oranges no matter how you look at it.

I was'nt really comparing, I was being somewhat...hmm...what's the word... SARCASTIC, co'z... no matter how you look at it, for him (the OP) who does'nt seem to own and regularly drive a high powered boosted street car is never gonna be dissapointed which ever power adder he goes with for the first time.

blower was more fun than turbo for me, but it was not apples to apples in terms of the power level.

There is no generic answer.

It depends how you drive, where you drive, transmission, traction etc etc.

turbo cars are for a fact way more streetable, especially once you get into the 9's.

a well dialed in S/C setup calls for a looser converter, shorter rear gear, an open/loud exhaust, generally get lower gas mileage, what else?
