Default Opportunity to buy a used D1SC Procharger

It's not for my Camaro, I plan on buying a 08 Corvette at the end of summer. I'm not sure what it's worth or if the intercooler will fit and how many parts I'll have to buy to make it work on a Corvette. I know absolutely ZERO about forced induction.

This is a copy and paste from the guy's email who is a cool older hot rodder with a blown tubbed 69 Camaro.

"I had originally picked this unit up with the intention of hanging it on my big block. After doing some review and looking at where I want to end up I figured out I'll probably need an F1 or F2 ProCharger for what I wanted. I need to allow for a much larger displacement down the road for my build. It's a 427 now but I can change that with a crank & piston swap and achieve much larger HP & TQ numbers. The D1SC would not have the reserve to drive a 500 ci motor - so, it become surplus. The ProCharger kit came off a big block suburban and consists of the head unit, accessory drive mount bracket, intercooler, a bunch of tubing, extra pulleys, oil and some other odds and ends. As I mentioned I'd like to get out of it just what I paid - $2,500 for the setup. The guy (a deputy sheriff in LA) had installed it on his ride new from ProCharger and put about 1000 miles on it before pulling it off. I guess his wife would not drive it - too much HP and TQ from what I heard LOL..."

Here is a pic

Is this a good deal?

His blower would be a standard rotation, and you need a reverse rotation for a Corvette. Basically this means it is set up to spin the opposite direction of what you need.
Can the impeller be replaced so it would work? Yes, but it is very expensive. The price he is asking for his kit is about what I sell a brand new D-1SC head unit for, and very little of the other items that are for his application would work on a Corvette. Bob

I have a d1sc from a vette........in parts......and just last week got the procharger estimate of 1700 to fix it. I was amazed, it looks like there maybe 100$ in parts inside, that they sell each piece for 375.00

Anyone want a builder head unit?

You're right, unless you get extremely lucky and get an 100% complete kit, piecing together what you need can add up to what a new kit cost. Bob
