Awesome! Anyone remember the fairmont wagon from TX with nitrous? These are my two all-time favorite LS sleepers.
I remember one of that car's first passes (I think it was anyway).....no cage in Denton (with N/T on the window of course)....all beat up looking. Freakin runs what looked like 6.7x almost on the bumper at launch. Tech went WTF? and he said This time I'll keep it off the bottle LOL.
Very cool build!!! I had a buddy with one a looong time ago with a pretty hot motor setup in it. He used to drag people all the time with it! Not as bad as you would though!
I'd LOVE to go on drag week, but being that this is my daily driver I'm not going to put a 8.50 cage in it and make it all 8.50 legal. 1100 miles isn't a problem, I put ~500 miles on it from Friday to Sunday last weekend.
Justin, 11.40 index race it in the daily driver class (11.0 or 12.0), then do a banzai pass once in a while at well prepped tracks
now that is just sick awesome! update us with some new pictures (if you don't mind)
you think it will hold up?
It's a stock motor so of course I know it'll let go sometime, but I consider it fairly reliable at this power level. I cut open the oil filter every oil change, just waiting to see bearing material from the thrust bearing, I think it will be the first thing to go. The key is a good tuneup in making these live and I think the E85 helps! If I was that scared of it I wouldn't have drove it 3hrs from home last weekend to race it, ended up driving right around 500 miles total in just the weekend!
I don't have a lot of pictures of the car yet. Here is one with my street tires on it before I got the 10 holes...
Also a few more from the track...
Yes that is a fear this ford plate...

Any idea how much boost? 18?
I didn't watch the boost gauge, but should've been right around 17.5lbs(datalog won't show as it's only 2 bar, 3 bar is going in very soon!) On the street we have had it cutout open and on 20lbs before, it was MOVING then. I'll send ya an email later tonight, I'd like to get some more passes on it and better pics before it goes in a magazine.

Atomic 6, will be good to see you guys again.
I've thought about doing that, I'll have to see if I have time off work also when it comes closer.

Thanks, I'm sure most people would never guess it has 6 gauges, one of which has 6 things on it(mph/rpm/timing/coolant temp/trip/IAT), all hidden and NONE in the vents. Being a DD, I didn't want to block off the vents at all! Also gotta have the lucky hat!
I'll throw up a few interior pics(sorry they are blurry, just ran down in the garage at work and took them real quick with the camera phone)....
Love the plate lol! I can only imagen what that thing does to vettes, and murdercycles from a roll... What track let you run without a bar? I will drive a few hrs to be able to run my truck somewhere without hastle.
This was in Wichita, but it was for the true street shootout which is why I don't think they said anything to me, otherwise something will probably get said for going that fast without a roll bar.
