Some of the top guys around say that O-Ringing the block/heads is the best way to go for big boost. I guess they've had block failures before they've pushed water. Methanol will help keep the IAT's down....the E-85 is already a great foundation but any added support should help out. Is it going to be intercooled or direct to the engine? I'm not sure on what kind of boost you could pull out of her.

a 400cu engine with 38psi of boost would probably be almost 2000hp assuming you have a head and intake. i wouldnt cut any corners with meth. not to be offensive but have you road in a car making 1500hp?

i know mine make 1000rwhp at 15psi, it is 100% stupid on the street with hoosier 335 drs.

at the track 15psi runs a 6.0 at 120mph. whats the purpose of your build.

for 38psi, i would think an air to water intercooler, hats off though, i get nervous at 28psi. lol

Yes i have an air to air. And I have no plans to do anything over 30lbs. Ill have to handle 20 first. The fastest pass I've ever made is a 9.88 in our carbed LS2 nova. And the highest powered car I've been in was 870 or so wheel, and I know 20lbs in this should do everybit of that.

With a lower compression 408 you'd still be in the vicinity of 500rwhp n/a. Add 1bar or 14.7psi and you should be near 1000. I think you're overestimating the pressure it will take make big power on this setup.

What methanol kit did you use?

Sorry to hijack the thread

So much for you keeping it as is for a bit! I remeber when you where pushing 800rwhp out of the stock block and you where more than happy with that! lol Is DP doing the work for you by any chance?
