Just wanted to reiterate how great the customer support from these guys is; I have been calling a few times over the past week regarding some issues with a Masterpower T70 that I didn't buy from them and Rob has answered the phone every time I have called. He has been very helpful, and he even answered my calls on a Saturday. Again, I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him at all, and they will continue to receive my business in the future.

WOW... Good reading and it looks like this sponsor cares about his customers and reputation... That's hard to find these days.

Good luck with your business and don't let the haters get ya down. Keep your word, sell a good product at a fair price and you'll have no problems now and in the future.

Good morning guys I have a little update on the kits progress.
After pulling the AC off the prototype car to fab up these kits
I found myself with some options’ and some very good news for you.

I have found a way to mount the turbo without standing up the radiator
and you can keep the stock fans!!

After removing the AC I found that there’s enough room to put the turbo
in the area where the AC was mounted and I can leave the stock radiator and fans untouched.

The only drawback to this is the turbo is not high enough to gravity drain.
The turbo drain is above the oil level in the pan but the drain tube will have to go
up hill slightly to pass over the steering rack so it will require a pump.

Before the haters come in and start there rant I want them to think about the total cost
and work involved from doing it this way vs standing up the radiator.

If you stand up that radiator, you will need to buy aftermarket fans.
These fans can cost over $100.00 each and you will need 2 of them.

That is at least $200.00 for fans and all that work cutting and welding on your radiator
support and making custom mounting brackets for the fans, radiator and making custom
radiator hoses.

In most cases that I’ve seen the fans have to be but in front of the radiator as pushers,
pusher fans don’t work as well as pullers.

It is a much better trade to have to buy a $150.00-$200.00 pump and leave the radiator
and fans in there stock location rater than move things around.

I’m trying to keep this thing as bolt on as possible, and not having to stand up the radiator
is a good first step.

I will have some pic’s later this week.

I will have to see how much room the BMR turbo K-Member offers.
If there is a way to keep the radiator in the stock location with the AC model
I will do it that way as well.

I won't know untill I get to that point.

I think that if you want A/C and the BMR K-member/C6 manifold kit with any moderate sized or larger turbo you will be required to stand up the radiator. No matter where you try to mount the turbo. I just don't see the turbo K-member creating anymore room between the front accessories and the fans.

I have my ideas about where and how the turbo will be placed.

I look at things a little different than most other guys.
If I have my way about it, it will not require the radiator being stood up.

When I get a K-member under the car we'll see what it gives me.

sounds promising.
I may be willing to ditch AC.
will keep watching for progress.
is this going to require a kmember swap or no?
I'm looking at this as an economical way of converting my rear mount to up front so I already have the pump and such.

oh ok reading more closely sounds like the K-member would be needed for the kit that keeps AC if it turns out to be possible.

correct?

and for the turbo sizing folks. if I moved my 67 with .81 AR up front (stock motor) would I choke the crud out of the motor, or could I get away with it? I don't care about "ideal" If it can pull to 6,000rpm on occasion without a massive drop off in power and produce ~ 500rwhp that's just fine.

it'll work but a .96 a/r would definitely need to be installed before you go to the track.

wheel spin............ boost will hit like a freight train

The non AC kit will allow you to retain the stock K-member.
The AC kit will require a K-member.
Your 67mm with 81 A/R will be a boat load of fun to drive as it will come on like a heart attack, LOL. It really depends on the turbine wheel. If you have a .81 with a Q trim
you will be ok in the hight 5000's RPM range. A .96 will let it breath a little better up top
but it's not the kiss of death by no means.

You sound like a guy that understands there are compromises to this turbo game.
A 2:73 or 3:08 gear and a stock torque convertor "if you have an auto" will
provide the best use if the stump pulling torque at low rev's that the 67/81 will give you.

It all really depends on what puts a smile on you face.

Sounds good.

I will indeed be content with insta-spool and don't often take it up very high at all. Older I get the slower I drive. So as long as the few times I actually wind it up to 6000 rpm, it doesn't fall flat on it's face, I will be plenty happy I am sure.

Looking forward to how this turns out. If it ends up a product I can convert my rear to front mount for circa $500, now that I live outside of California and the crazy smog laws, it is very appealing to me.

Hey chris I bought the non ac kit and was wondering if there was a way to keep the stock radiator in the stock place but add some thinner aftermarket fans as pullers and allow the turbo to be mounted up more to take advantage of the gravity drain?

There's a few other things that are forcing me to mount the turbo lower than I would like. A thinner set of fans would help things a little but getting the down pipe under the manifold flange is what's forcing me to lower the turbo to the point that the return oil needs to be pumped back to the pan.

The turbo is by no means super low. It's just low enough that the return hose has a very slight up hill rise over the steering rack, just enough that it won't gravity drain.

The turbo will be mounted in the north/south position vs the east/west
position that you guys are used to seeing.

I will have some turbo **** for you guys by the end of the week.

The factory fans are bad ***, keep them if you can.

I'm really happy that I'll be able to keep the stock radiator/fan setup. Do you guys have a recommendation on what scavenge pump you would run with this setup? My car is my summer DD so I would like something reliable that I don't have to worry about; I don't mind spending a bit more money for a good pump.
