There's a few other things that are forcing me to mount the turbo lower than I would like. A thinner set of fans would help things a little but getting the down pipe under the manifold flange is what's forcing me to lower the turbo to the point that the return oil needs to be pumped back to the pan.
The turbo is by no means super low. It's just low enough that the return hose has a very slight up hill rise over the steering rack, just enough that it won't gravity drain.
The turbo will be mounted in the north/south position vs the east/west
position that you guys are used to seeing.
I will have some turbo **** for you guys by the end of the week.
The factory fans are bad ***, keep them if you can.

When I had my rear mount, everybody seemed to like the Mocal pumps alot better than most. Much more reliable than stuff like the STS junk.

As I explained in my last post the oil return line travels slightly up hill as it passes over the steering rack.
The timing cover is not an option unless you are pumping it there.

The support bars that are welded to the turbo inlet flange and the K-Member are only there to hold the turbo in place so Chris can fab tubing to the turbo. They WILL NOT be part of the finished version.

Can't tell from the pic, but if we mount our wastegate to exit the other way, is there enough room to snake tubing into the downpipe, so I don't have to listen to a vented wastegate? Hate that sound. Might be a nice option to offer, but even if not, just want to know if it looks doable as a mod to the kit during install.

We did not engineer this kit for a recirculated wastegate. We focused on price and functionality.
For everything that our customers are receiving for $499 I believe its a minor issue.
There is nothing stopping YOU from recirculating it yourself though.
NOTE: The wastegate is positioned in a very optimal location for exhaust gas flow. Also the wastegate will have a small dump tube in the finalized version.

Totally agree, just wondering if I want to do that myself will there be enough room to do so. Pretty much looks like it from the pics, but wanted to hear it from the designer himself if he thinks, yah you can do that with not much effort.

I will look at what it will take to tie the W/G into the down pipe tomorrow.
For the price that the kit is being offered for and not having to cut the radiator support
living with a non recirculated W/G is a very very minor sacrifice.
My focus when I was placing the gate was to put it in a high pressure area so the pressure differential would be maximized.
This is what will allow a 38mm gate on a TC series turbo to be controlled down to 5-6 psi if needed.
This was an decision driven by engineering.
For the price that the kit is being offered for and not having to cut the radiator support
