Default 8 psi made only ~410 rwhp ????

I had my 2001 procharged ss setup for 8 psi dyno tuned on wednesday and it only put down a high of 410 hp on one of the runs..The belt was slipping(1 inch too big), blow off wasn't properly hooked up and we believe that a coupler was loose and eventually fell off after I was off the dyno. I took care of all the issues and took it to the track and didn't trap or run all too great there wasn't rubber on the pulley so it's not belt slip... Can it be because the tune is not adequate after I fixed the problems I had while on the dyno?

With all the problems you had, the tune certainly could be way off. Bob

When you say you had it setup for 8psi, did you actually measure it to see how much boost you made or did you just chose pullies that 'should' make around 8psi?

The car should have went on the dyno again before you were out racing it after all the mentioned issues were fixed. There is no way the tune can be correct due to your tuner dealing with issues. The fueling and timing are most likely way off and all you can hope for is you have not damaged anything now.

good luck

The crank pulley is a 6 inch and the procharger pulley is a 3.20 these were the two pulleys that procharger recommended to achieve approximately 8lbs on a ls1..I did call the tuner after I got everything all wrapped up but he said that it should be ok but I will call him again and set up a appointment just to make sure. The car does see 8 lbs but its just before hitting the rev limiter, I talked to procharger and they said that the p1sc1 is a peeky blower

So, you had belt slippage AND a coupler was loose, and youre complaining about making only 410whp? Anytime I had a loose coupler it was hard for me to get any boost at all. Where were you referencing the boost gauge? Near the blower, or off the manifold? You should be seeing full boost waaaaaaay before the rev limiter.

Actually... no.. The blower spins faster the higher the RPM thus making more boost. So you usually seee max boost about 500rpms before redline

my question is what kind of tuner and dyno shop would have continued tuning with out first finding and fixing the problems?? ever dydno shop or tuner i have ever been to went the extra mile to make sure any issue we encountered was resolved and the tune was spot on before i left, even if it meant they stayed into the night after hours .

*Update* So it seems to be a bad blow off because for whatever reason as soon as I connect the blow off my car goes lean according to my tuners lap top..does anyone know why this would happen? (vacuum source for blow off is from a t in the brake booster line) I'll have to replace the valve and go back I guess
