I was wondering about this. I have a 75 tooth pulley with my RMCR kit. If I buy the Vortech 80 tooth universal crank pulley, do I just need to have it milled on the balancer mating surface so it is the same dimension as the 75 tooth?

You will need to mill the back of the pulley. When you pull yours off you will see what I am talking about. Its as simple as milling .030" off the back on a radius table that way it can center it self on the ati dampener.

You might be right. I always shoot low. I am thinking the crank pulley switch might get me 4 to 5 lbs more. Not sure though. So with ice and meth it might do better than 850rwhp.

Only time will tell. I am waiting on some IC 1000 injectors. Then back on the dyno.

Nice setup!

Would you happen to have any pictures of how close the throttle body gets to the t-stat block off plate?

You will make alot more than that, my 355 YSi setup made 710whp with stock heads and alot of boost when it was new, turning 63k rpm@6800. Keep throwing pulley at it till you end up where you want to be

I think they started out as the 220cc casting, but dont hold me to that. Mike over at TEA had Trick Flow make them with the SBC intake bolt pattern as well. Chad at Golen Engines help spec out the solid roller.

I am very impressed with the power level and cant wait for my 1000cc injectors to show up so we can turn the boost up.

This is not a great picture. Will see if i have something else at work. I know with the TB and the block off plate I put on I think there is a good 1/8" clearance.

Thanks. Its cool seeing this starting to make the HP I wanted. I was doubting and thinking I should have switch to an LS years ago.

The only other thing is what kid of gain if any do you think I would see switching to an 1 7/8 header and maybe the new dual 3" exhaust from Kooks.

Last time we were on the dyno and I tried opening the cutout on the Borla and got the same power. So these #'s were with the Borla shut and all going out the one side.

From everything I've seen especially S/C applications they seem to benefit from the bigger primaries. I think it would be worth a shot man.

Thanks, I noticed the back of my 75 tooth has been milled, but haven't looked at it closely. I didn't want to buy the Vortech pulley if it wasn't the right one.

Do you know if I can get away with using the same belt with the 80 tooth crank pulley? I have two of them and don't want to buy a longer one if I don't need to.

So I just dynoed with my 80 T Crank Pulley and ATI dampener.

We ran out of fuel. So I know there is at least 950 RWHP in it. This is also with NO METH still. Maybe has 4 digits in it. With meth.

Only time will tell. Here is the dyno of 891 RWHP that we did today. Will be getting some new injectors tomorrow. Also, I think I am almost at the end of my twin 255lph pumps too.

Also this proto type intercooler from Vortech works amazing. With running ice in the tank. Intake air temps were from 65 degrees F to 86 degrees at full throttle. The ambient temp in the dyno was over 90 degrees.

Thanks. This is also with the 1 3/4 Pacesetter headers and single 3" Borla running all through the muffler. I tried opening the cut out and saw no gain. Not sure if larger headers and dual 3" exhaust will help.

Talked with Kooks and they would need to have the car to custom make 2" primary headers and a 3" dual exhaust. Just not sure if the gains are worth the 5K plus the quoted me to make it one off.
