Default turned up the boost, but don't feel it

Have a mustang with a ls6 T70 turbo, was running 4.5 ps1, turned it up to 9 and don't really feel much of a difference, is that normal?

Nope. Is the tune good? Do you have good valvesprings in the motor? More details about your set-up?

No boost leaks, I didn't look at the boost gauge, slot the rubber piping that I have turning into the throttle body is really soft and when I give it gas it sucks down if that would make a huge diff

if its sucking under vacuum its ballooning under boost. anyways, rps or modular turbo will be able to help.

It does suck down till about 4-5k rpm, I understand what your saying about it ballooning, but it doesn't balloon when parked and I rev it all the way up, I'm guessing it will when its under load when I'm driving it

Get a new intake elbow although I don't think that's the problem. Also that's a very small turbo. As you go higher in boost you will notice a smaller and smaller gain due to back pressure

I'm going to order a elbow for it and see what happens, so what turbo should I get, it has a t4 flange. It made around 600 rwhp with the t70 and 9ps1 on the dyno, I'm pushing for 700rwhp. Also not sure how much boost the ls6 will hold, has arp rod bolts and head studs

You had that on there and a shop tuned it with it on there? hmmm.

What about your tranny? They sometimes regulate power... usually not a good sign though.

Speed inc tuned it but probably didn't notice the weak rubber elbow, also it has a stock 4l60e for now

I would at least get a tranny cooler and shift kit at the very least until it burns the clutches up and then build the **** out of it or swap in a 80e or TH400. I wouldn't think it would be the turbo that is holding him back to much at only 9 lbs. At 14-15 maybe, but 9 no. If the elbow is getting sucked closed at all it's not going to matter how big a turbo he puts on it.

If the tune is speed density then a small boost leak wont be noticeable.

im assuming its a silicon elbow? if so, get rid of the elbow. get a 90degree piece of 3" aluminum pipe and do a single 3" straight silicon piece and then a straight 3-4" or whatever size you need on the other side of the metal elbow.
