If your right then it was a dumb question but considering the pipes will be sticking through the Hood at least 1/4 inch I'd assume they would have smooth "slash cuts". Those notches I'm referring too wont flow with the Hood lines at all.

Phew, we're starting to make some real progress now. Spent last week up at Vengeance Racing working on the roll cage and let me tell you; Jey Clegg is the man. Check out these welds!
I can't really give out anymore information at this time (check an upcoming issue) but I will say that SALT is looking better than ever. Next stop is the engine dyno!

Both Vengeance Racing and Pro Line Racing are comfortable with the ZR1 gasket on a 4.030 bore and TEA/TFS 235cc head, so it is what we're going to run. Not sure on the 4.125-inch recommendation from Trick Flow (can't find that on the site) but I don't see any reason why a ZR1 head gasket wouldn't work on your application...

I called Vengeance and Hinson Motorsports and they said the ls9 gasket could be ran with tfs 235's. I emailed Mike @ TEA and asked again, just to be sure...he's the one that told me i needed a 4.125 gasket If running the heads on my stock cube lq9 (364ci) a few months ago.

Haven't been up to Vengeance in a little bit (since we did the cage) but we've got a lot of stuff in the pipeline. The transmission has arrived and we're working on getting the engine (back) together for the engine dyno.
I will let everyone know when the next story hits the newsstands and be sure to get some teasers of the other parts along the way!

No, we will be using a set of race seats when it hits the mile. Luckily, we had a spare there for fabrication so the door bars should clear. Good looking out though, that would have sucked to re-fabricate!
