Cool Procharged 383 C5 ZO6 Build

After several long months my new build is complete. I just need to get the T fitting to run a dual nozzle on my meth system and a couple more tweaks.

My prior setup was an A&A kit running a P1-SC-1 procharger with meth, LG long tube headers on completely stock engine and made 657/562 @ 8psi (I lost ring lands on # 2 and 5 after around 24K miles) It already had a built transmission, rear end and Exedy twin disk.

Best 1/4 mile pass (second time out) was an 11.4@127 with an easy 1.98 60' @ 5980 ft of elevation. (Colorado)

This is specs on the new build are..

LS6 block - stroked to 383
Callies H beam rods (6.125)
Wiseco forged pistons w/ steel top rings
Callies Stroker crank 4" stroke
Clevite H bearings for rods and mains
Durrabond Cam bearings
LS6 ported high volume pump
ARP head studs
ARP Main studs
Comp blower cam grind I/E - 235/239 646/649 116 LSA 115 center line
Hardened pushrods
LS7 lifters
PRC EHT dual valve springs.
Dual roller timing chain with torrington bearings
FAST 80 lb injectors
FAST Billet rails
Dual in tank Walbro 255's
-8an feed, -6an return lines
LS6 Intake and TB
LS6 Heads
Innovative west 8" balancer
Procharger D1 Head unit.
A&A's latest procharger bracket and 8 rib setup
Custom anodized 3.5" blower pulley
Snow Meth injection running 100% meth
AEM wideband
Final C.R. is 10.4:1

I only have around 320 miles on the new engine, trying to break it in nicely, no WOT runs or seen much boost at all yet. Getting ready to change the oil again on it and get another few hundred before we activate the second pump and start getting into it more.

We are not sure what kind of RWHP we will make, but are hoping to see 12-14 psi with the D1 and I hope to hit 800 on the dyno. Any guesses?

Block back from machine shop.

Assembly of engine.

Off the lift for the first time in 2 months

Engine bay shot

The Car.

Looking forward to getting it broken in and see what it can do. Should run well with another 4-5 psi and with the new cam and extra cubic inch.

I don't see that power being too hard to achieve. 14psi should put you right around that...if not over. Looks like a nice build! Looks like something I would do with similar parts so it gets my stamp of approval! lol

It's going to depend on how generous the dyno is, but I'm going to guess you'll be around 700-750 rwhp with 12-14 psi of boost with stock LS6 heads, and your higher elevation. I like your build and your Corvette, that is going to be a lot of fun to drive. Bob

Great setup man and great looking Vette ...

I agree with Bob 12-14psi will get mid/high 700rwhp and I believe 800+rwhp is possible with 16-17lbs..
Good luck and keep us posted/

Thanks, Guys.. Yea, dyno is just a number, sure I would like to see an 8xx number SAE just for the simple fact of return on some of my investment.. Dyno I have always gone to is a dyno jet and is consistent with others.. It was actually 4 rwhp less than one other one it was on but the car always has made 653-657 sae around here and around 557-562 uncorrected. (5000- 6500 DA)

Was just thinking with 4+ more psi, larger CI, good cam, etc I would hope to see 125-150+ increase, but again, for this just being a street car and it was a handful before, anything over 660 is just a bonus..
