Default 9.2 compression and ? Boost

Been running 9 lbs on the stock motor with 10-1 compression...the new forged motor will be 9.2-1 compression...

How much more boost should that allow me to run on pump gas?

playing it safe? 12-13. i woudlnt play with timing either.

if you wanna roll the dice you can probably do a couple lbs more. are you planning on hitting the dyno again?

Yea, it'll be tuned on the dyno then track. Just trying to get an idea...13lbs would get me 700hp on pump and I'd be happy with that

And yea, the timing won't change on pump gas. 609 to the wheels right now with just 15 degrees

good luck! 15* should be very safe, even at 13.

I'm sure race gas will see more timing. Might add meth for even more boost on pump but that would prob just get me in trouble lol

exactly. i personally would rather tune on the dyno, get the torque/timing combo (mbt) along with a comforable boost level, and turn it down for pump. i wasnt sure if you were planning on running race gas or not.

are you tuning yourself?

It'll be tuned on pump, that'll be close to 700rwhp and then race gas will max the turbo out

what heads and intake manifold? 15psi on stock restrictive heads is a LOT different than 15psi on nice flowing aftermarket heads. What size engine? Takes a lot more air to feed a 427 than a 347. This is why you need to look at total power rather than total boost.

This is on a 364-370 motor with stock 317's...when it gets forged the heads will be ported though. And edelbrock pro flo intake.

great point, i should have asked, although 12-13 is a very safe number for almost anything with a 75mm turbo and an A2W.
