Default whipple on a f-body?

pretty much as the title says, wondereing if a 2.9 whipple would fit under stock fbody hood/cowl. i am trying to get my motor plans worked out and would like to know. i am planning a 402 ls2 with ls3 heads so i would be able to use either the corvette or the camaro unit but dont know if i could fit it with little/no modification to those componets

highly doubt it.. the cowl would be in the way and probably the hood depending on the snout length.. but you should go for it anyways.. Nothing like being original!

yeah...you have to get k-member spacers.

do some research. a few companies have kits for them. gmpp has the ls9 supercharger kit.

It will fit but, you have to cut ALOT of your cowl to make it work. There was a guy on here that made a 2.8 I believe fit on his fbody. I forget who did it or even what the thread was called but he had a picture of it. I don't know about hood clearance though. Just depends on how bad you want it to work.

k member spacers messes up all the front end geometry and i will probably have the same problem with the ls9 supercharger. a company out of colorado has done one and im trying to get in touch with them and see what all they had to do and which unit they used.

Check on here too. Now that I think of it, it was a whipple. It was probably around the first of the year when he posted it.

We will be looking into making a kit for the F-body cars in the future. It will use the 2.9L front feed blower like our 10-11 Camaro and C6 Corvette kits do. Should be plenty of room to grow with this too. Mast Motorsports alrady made 1000fwhp with it on a 427 with race fuel and ADM made 740rwhp on a 417 in a 2010 Camaro on pump and 992 with NOS.
