Anyone have any real world experience with the factory style 3.3 BAR MAP?
Referring to the Delphi # 12215049, Box part # PS10087, specs here:

Seen it mentioned a few times on here, but havent seen any reviews. Interested in buying one if they work.

I tried one, ended up binning it,
fueling was all over the place out of boost and map reading very inconsistant out of boost.
The accuracy and resolution at low map readings made it difficult to get consistant results when dialing in the VE table.

GM Parts Direct has #12215049 superceded to #12623671 for about $70.00. I'm about to order one but I'm a little hesitant after reading about how it was a pain to tune at no pressure. (JohnV)

Well, as of right now, I don't have anything. It was a MAF tune, I got a 3 bar map for it (the big GN type) in anticipation of upping the boost to max out the F1 (not sure how much boost that would be, maybe 18??) but now the MAP i had mysteriously broke (or never worked in the first place according to the story of the previous tuner who had it).. Anyways, bottom line now is that I need to get a MAP so that I can get an SD tune. I do anticipate going over 14-15psi in the future, so a 2 BAR won't be enough..

Isn't there a 2.5 bar sensor out there, should be good for 20 psi ?
I run 18 psi on my 2 bar, not perfect in an ideal world
fueling and timing will just be the same as 14.7 psi max of the map sensor at 18 psi.

i run the dmax 3.3 bar map sensor, i ordered it from gm parts direct, and works perfect! im self tuning my car (first time fi) and have had zero problems with it, the key to making it work is setting your offset correctly
to set the offset, what i did was put the car in key on not running with the new sensor in, scan what its reading in kpa then adjust your offset until it reads 100kpa with the key on engine off, i think my offset on the sensor ended up being like 30? i don't remember what it was exactly though

I went ahead and got the 3.3 sensor #12623671 from GM Parts Direct for $64.00 + 14.00 shipping (ouch!). I have 17.5 lb springs in my wastegates and plan on getting there with my new turbos. Hopefully it wont be a problem tuning it, I do have confidence in the guy that tunes my car. Nick at Newtech here in Newark, CA.

I have found that the 3.3 dmax MAP sensor is very poor in the under 40 KPA area of the fuel map. Those are generally hit during light to heavy decel. Even the 5 bar maps have better resolution down there.
