I plan on a forged motor (rods, pistons) a decently bumpy FI cam and possibly TFS 220 heads if i dont cheap chooch out and go with 317s. Would it be in my best interest to go with a PT 76gts? I am open to any and all suggestions. A friend who build a pretty fast turbo car even suggested i go with a PT88 (t4, .96 a/r) but i think i may run into fitment issues as my KYTP kit is built around a TC78.

i did and still do want a 76gts. they will definitely support more. i got a great deal on my TC which is why i have it now, and based on what its doing now at 10#s im 100% confident it will meet my goals (9.90's 6speed)
im 110% happy with my TC76, but if you have the extra cash i would go with the 76gts

7675 is just the new numbering system Precision uses, it's still the same 76GTS. 83mm inducer and 75mm exducer on the turbine wheel. NicD has gone 151 mph on the 76GTS with a 346 at 3400lbs. You won't see a TC76-78 do that, the precision unit is good for atleast 125 rwhp. Several people have made over 900rwhp with the 76GTS. You honestly cannot buy a better turbo for it's size. It has a bigger turbine wheel that flows more and a slightly larger more efficient compressor cover.
I do all my own tuning and have tons of logs to show you the spool comparison on my setup. They both hit the wastegate at 2600-2800 rpm in 4th gear.
