Default New PB in the turbo Firehawk

Went out Friday night to capitol with a bunch of friends and ran a new best. No 2 step in the car so I still have some room for improvement in the 60'. Also need to play with timing to help with spool up as well

Also pass was on about 14 psi maybe 15 as far as I can tell but I forgot to log that pass and the vac line came off my wastegate so I am not sure. If was my first pass off the trailer

60'- 1.634
330- 4.328
1/8- 6.401
mph- 119.69
1000'- 8.165
1/4 9.654
mph - 152.21

I made 2 other passes.

Spun out of the hole bad on pass number too and aborted.

3rd pass went a 1.7 60' and I got on and off the throttle in 3rd since the car got a little squirly. Still went a 9.9@147mph. Not sure of the break down of the rest of the slip as I need to get it out of the car still.

Here is a video of my last pass. They missed getting my 2 other passes.

For those that don't know.
Forged 347 Diamond pistons callies rods stock crank. AFR 205 heads. 9.6:1CR Virginia Speed cam, Vic JR and arrons elbow. Home built PT88 truck manifold kit.

Motor assembled and tuned by me.

Grats on the new PB man. It looks like you will have another new PB the next time you go to the track.

Couple of questions:
What is the exact torque converter set up?
How do you like the spool up of that 88mm turbo?
Do you plan on turning up the boost more?

Car weighs somewhere between 3400-3500 with me in it as it sat. Still had both factory seats and radio and such. Havent been on a good scale lately.

I am runnin a yank 3400 stall. Spool is a little slow but I think that will be improved with changes tothe tune and timing. I have left my timing unchanged so far from when it wS procharged. 152mph should get me to. 9.1 or 9.0 easy with a better 60'. Ca is really lazy off the line with no boost. I tried to launch on 4psi this same night and just blew off the tires.

I do plan on turning up the boost and maybe doing a race gas tune in the for a nice cold MIR rental and let her eat

you say you left the timing where it was, what was timing at wot? was this on meth or just plain old 93 octane? what was the a/f at full boost. very impressive car for sure on that boost level and congrats again.

AF was between 11.0 and 11.5 This was with METH I spray 100% meth as well. Timing is around 15-16 under boost. I would have to double check. As far as what I mean that I need to change from my old procharged tune is that I need more timing down low to help spool the turbo.

I know the car leave really soft. It actually felt like it bogged that pass. Then about 40 ft out it just started screaming

I would have to guess around 6500. Like I said my dumb *** forgot to turn my data logger on. I am pretty sure my shift light is set at 6200 rpm and I know it was on for a while in 1st but I never hit my rev limiter at 7000

That's hauling some serious bootay!

I am fighting the same issue.

I am about to upgrade to a 99+ pcm and then I'll be able to utilize a custom os with efilive with a boost timing table and put more timing to it down low.

What tuning software are you using?

I will have to look at some logs but I am pretty sure that I am at full boost by 4k rpm give or take. No dyno yet. Just street and track tuning. I am sure it will be on a dyno in the fall as a group of us frequently has a dyno day in the fall

I am using HPtunners. I have had the 2 bar OS for over 3 years now. Its not that I have been fighting the issues I have just haven't sat down to play with it. I have been dealing with 2 step issues it has been a long battle with that.
