Default Backpressure on 6765's

Just an fyi with those that run twin precision 6765's. I just checked the backpressure on my twin 6765's setup (combo in sig) and even with using the small .68 exh housings, it had 17 pounds of backpressure at 13.5 pounds of boost (1.25 backpressure ratio). I realize that the ratio will increase as i crank more boost but i was pretty pumped by the good ratio. The pressure was checked a few inches before the turbo. These turbo's are bad ***; i highly recommend them.....and they spool quick too. On the trans brake, it hits 7 pounds (and climbing quickly) in 1.5 seconds. The converter goes to 3200rpm with zero boost and 7 pounds was around 4100 rpms. For those on efilive, i attached a trans brake log. p.s...i'm still working on my tuning skills.

Thanks kyle! I should have already been to the track but getting the tune dialed in took me longer than expected...and throw in valve spring upgrade (had valve float), deatschwerks 300+ fuel pumps upgrade.... and now that it is running killer, the 80 injectors are about safely maxed out at only 14 pounds of boost (90%ish duty cycle). Don't get me wrong, it is a blast but these cars have an insatiable appetite for money, lol!! I think i may increase the fuel pressure to buy some more duty cycle with the 80 injectors..... then I think it will be ready to blast....I may pop its cherry next friday night or so. I'll take a vid and update. Thanks man

Are those t3/t4's? For some reason, I thought you were going to switch to t4's. Anyway, that's good info. I'm sure it runs like a beast!

Glad to finally see you getting it all buttoned up.

I don't think I've ever seen one picture of your car besides the one in your avatar.

I think high 8's is being conservative in your case. In fact I think you could hit 8.90 on 14#'s or maybe 15#'s but if it hooks which it should it's gonna be hauling *** across the stripe that's for sure

Thanks junkie! My 8.90's goal is being a little conservative... I have owned race cars that were in that ballpark and this car would smoke them on power. Once i get things dialed in and crank up the boost, i would really like to see an 8.50's or better.

Check out my photobucket for more pics. I think once you are in there, you can view everything.

The F1-65 turbine wheels are great turbine wheels in a twin application.
