Default I need emergency help

I am trying to do a tranny swap and can not get the tranny to come away from the block what would anyone suggest...........

Everything has been removed. the tourque convertor bolts have been removed the dipstick has been removed. the tranny lines have been removed. all sensors removed driveshaft removed torque arm removed

It feels like this thing is welded to the block what the hell do I do

Did you get the top bolt? the dowl pins could be holding you up. You gotta shake the thing up and down pretty hard.

Ditto, I have never seen a tranny that doesnt want to drop right out after everything is off. Wiggling it at the tailshaft should pop it right off the pins. I'd say you missed a bolt somehwere.

ok thanks for replying here is the deal

We have all the bolts off there are 8 on the bellhousing and he have all 8

also we did try shaking vigorously on the tail shaft and still it will not pop off I am trying everything and this thing will not come off.

Ive had to pry the ****** off with a crow bar before, sometimes they pretty much WELD to the block. sucks.

The tranny is stuck on the dowel pins on the motor. You need to pry evenly from both sides of the tranny. Between the motor and tranny. Evenly is the key or it will bind. We have had to do this on both the 98s we have done converters on. Put some grease on the pins before you put the tranny back in.

On all 98 and 99 trans I have taken off, the dowel pins rusted and it wouldnt let the tranny slide off. Do what TwnTrboCE said and you should be good

I've had a couple that were so bad the dowel pins stayed IN the trans and not the motor

The a AC accumulator drips condensation on the right side of the mating surface.. The water corrodes the right side dowel pin first.

I use anti-sieze.
