Default Questions regarding my 408 F1-A setup! ***Updated 10/18! MORE ?s on Post #16***

I know there are plenty of threads on meth kits but I figured I'd post my own. I'm ready to buy a methanol kit but don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Just want to buy one that is dependable and does what it's supposed to do and get it back on the dyno to see what kind of HP difference there would be. Also if you guys have links/prices on the kits you suggest please post them.

Thanks,
Kody

I've ran the Devilsown progressive kits numerous times on previous builds and they have always treated me well.

AIS has great customer service before and after the sale and a good product. Mine is the non-progressive kit but is still awesome and works great.

+1 Alky Control

Just purchased a Dual Nozzle Kit from Julio...man knows his stuff and has great support. I bugged him a couple of times with some questions here and there during installation and he always answered the phone or called me right back...that's a rarity in these days and I'd buy another from him in a heartbeat.

Ok so it sounds like Alky Control is the way to go. Can one of the sponsors or somebody who has one for sale pm me a price shipped to 77590 for a kit please?

Also, I understand what a progressive kit does. But is there any big advantage in having a kit that progressively sprays over a basic meth kit that just comes on and off at a certain amount of boost? Somebody please explain/clarify that for me and post price difference. Thanks again.

Back up to the top. I have a few more forced induction-related questions:

What kind of HP gains are you guys seeing when adding methanol?

Anybody have dyno graphs that compare before/after adding methanol injection?

What kind of HP gains have you guys seen on say a 98 degree summer day versus a 40 degree winter day?

For instance with my setup with colder weather (a 50+ degree difference) and methanol injection would it be reasonable to say I could pick up say 75 HP?

I'm just curious because when I had my car tuned after the new build a couple months ago it was in the DEAD heat(98 degrees). I have heard a few different guys say how much power you can pick up without much if any changes to the tune simply with just colder weather. I have done quite a bit of research just want to hear from you guys your experience with it.

Also, how was the install?

I know it all depends on what kit you buy. I ordered AEM wideband, boost and fuel pressure digital guages today so I've gotta wait to buy my methanol kit I've been wanting until next week. I wanna get the meth kit installed and get her back on the dyno in this cold weather and see how much she picks up!

Last time I checked they were around $600.00. The quality of the components in the Alky kits is much better. Bob
