I may be misunderstanding, but what are you talking about. is it or is it not the fastest stock shortblock out there right now? what is your point?

As far as I know it is the new record, I just thought it was funny it happened almost exactly a year from when I got it before. I think he misunderstood what you was trying to say.

I am sure he will go faster on his next few passes as well. The reality is he is racing at 650 lbs less then me and my car has also been to the track only a few times. I like challenges and if I do manage to run similar times or beat his time at 650 lbs less.

lol, it probably would blow up before then, but I don't see how it couldn't be possible for a couple passes.

I don't have a lot of track hits on mine either, it's mostly a street car. We just put in the glide so only have 3 hits now on that, wish I could get more hits in, but don't have my license or the cage certified, just need to get it done, I honestly wasn't planning on putting the car back together until spring when it will have a lot better suspension under it and be legal to run the times so can get more hits out of it.

haha I thought about loaning out my backup forged 347 but I think i'm gonna let it sit in the basement in hibernation hopefully I won't need it for a longgg time....but **** he doesn't need it lol. Them junkyard motors do just fine in a lighter car. Its just ridiculous a stock bottom end motor out of an SUV, truck whatever can go 8's with a cam and valve springs whether its in a mustang, rx7 anything

that is a stock cam? wow. what rpms will it rev to on the 5.3? also, the stock cam gives up about 100hp over a decent cam,so does that mean you are running a lot of boost, like over 25pis? or maybe nitrous?

either way, that thing sounds stout

Stock truck cam. I shift it at 6500. It does see over 20 psi often. I also know there is power to be had in a camshaft but I liked the idea of being even more like a stock engine. No headstuds, no ls9 gaskets.

His 6.0 and 88mm turned up like we had it last probably makes 100rwhp more than I will make next time out! This 76 will run out of steam before the motor.

As far as a stock cam, in maxx's car we ran a stock cam, then put in a turbo cam, went only tenth faster and 1mph faster.

No disrespect towards skinnies, the car is awesome and I know it will be quicker soon, I just thought that comment was hilarious.

well that rx7 has alot more left in it forsure. I am sure it will atleast go 9.50to 9.40 cranked up with the 76mm. All this stock cam talk makes me wonder about using the stock l33 cam. I cant find the specs on it.

ha yeah it is actually funny all the grief given to him over the weight, and the benchracers thinking they could run x.x if they had the car

he sounds jelly and butthurt to me that he would even come into the thread and post something like "not running a tin can"
