Nice vids, Ryan! Glad to see you're optimizing the setup with those 3.25s. Hows that stock trans holding up?

Yeah I know they could be quicker and i have the ability to shift quicker its just that im babying this trans and i have had the clutch slip on powershifts at lower hp/tq when i was messing around. Seems to hold if im slightly easier on it

Thanks! But the trans is doing alright. And now that ive felt 4th gear with 3.25s, i almost wish i woulda thrown 3.00s in. Its a whole new ballgame at 130+.. pulling like a freight train is an understatement.

I really want to put a twin disc in and see what it does because i have never felt a clutch as heavy as the one i have in my car. I picked it up for cheap way back when i threw the t56 in and have no idea what the make of the clutch is lol

You're the luckiest guy I know. Makin it work with what you got! Can't imagine what a 130+ freight train train pull is like If it ever comes down to rebuilding that trans, let me know and I'll come out and help. I'll even let you borrow my HF trans jack

Not really. I bought a Mcleod twin disc and am trying to decide on buying wheels or a tubular kmember with upper and lower a-arms.

Ive just been working a lot and havent really been around the car since i moved to michigan. There is also the fact that ive just really enjoyed the car and dont feel like tearing it down to do anything cus its in a really good state right now.

ill be at the dream cruise in mid august though and hopefully ill atleast have the 2step/wot box wired up by then!

Figured its time for an update. Dream Cruise was awesome and the car did great. Got a pretty cool video on the way that my buddy is working on. BUT onto the important stuff.

N2MB WOT box and 2step is installed. Both features work great, the no lift feature is a lot of fun. if you are just looking for a 2step, i would look at the lingenfelter though. This is not as plug and play the lingenfelter is. Ill have a vid of the WOT feature soon.

Not sure when ill build it but i pulled the trigger on some goodies! K1 crank,K1 rods and Wiseco pistons. itll go in an iron 5.7. sticking with stock ci and will continue to boost the hell out of it. BEI or livernois will be building it as they are pretty local to where im at now.

Why am I building a motor if the stocker is kicking? Because i recently got an 86 rx7 that im going to put the stock one into and go for some stock bottom ls1 records, all these 5.3s and 6.0s getting so much attention, i figure its time the 5.7 gets its turn

After the new year, i dont want to put the build on a credit card so i wanna make sure i save enough to cover build in cash and not really affect my day to day stuff.

Glad someone else with a 6 speed turbo fbody is doing the n2mb! Gonna be running one on my setup too. 2step sounded great. Can't wait for the wot shifting video!

I had a couple brain lapses while installing it and made it more difficult than it should have been. Also, i had 2 pins in coil pack connector push out on the passenger side that caused the car to run like absolute **** (#6 & #8 were missing bad). Once I got that sorted out, things came together. The usb to serial adapter cord that n2mb supplies is garbage so i suggest buying a nice one before you install it.

Im not sure if its because i swapped from auto to manual but i had to use 2 relays in conjunction with the neutral safety switch to get the box to activate with the clutch. The no-lift shift lets out a nice backfire after every shift so its kinda cool haha. Definitely keeps the car from noising over and the shift is pretty smooth.

Here is the vid testing out the no lift shift. This was the first time i ever tried it so thats the reason for the early/slow-ish shift. Definitely makes a difference when racing though, never lost boost. Pay no attention to the speedo, its slow/way off since i changed gears

and a lil 1-2 pull

Oh believe me, i have been. I was definitely hesitant with the shift in this video and wasn't sure if i should post it cus people judge hard on the internet lol. But the purpose of the video is not to show me shifting..

Ive been in a few races lately against autos and they asked me after if my car was an auto, cus they didnt hear any shifts, just "loud bangs where they thought the car blew up" haha. It really does make it absolutely effortless to slam the next gear with almost no loss in momentum.

I just copied and pasted all 6 pages of this Thread into an e-mail so I can read it while I'm working (not supposed to be on the internet). This seems like exactly what I want to do over the winter with my 46,000 mile stock bottom end LS1.
