Posted a separate thread but i want to keep this up to date as well

Finally got the car back to my tuner after being down all year. Put a TR6060, Mcleod RXT, 3 bar MAP, FIC 127s and dual Walbro 340's in for this go around.

Car started at 600+ years ago, moved to 700+ for last year and is now 800+.

It was hot as hell saturday (over 90 degrees). I was going for 850ish but i chickened out. Turbo isnt picking up as much HP at higher boost so i think i'd really have to get some boost out of it to hit that number and ive got to upgrade the charging system on the car big time. I knew it was lacking but i guess i underestimated how bad it really was (9-10V under city conditions). The 2 hour drive back home started to get into my head and may have kept me from turning it up more too No trailer here!

As always, Brian at Dynotune Motorsports deserves all the credit for the tune and keeping this thing alive. I always walk out of that place smarter than I walked in! Big thanks to the guys who helped out as well.

I had to really crank on my MBC to get it to 20psi, ill get my AMS-500 in the car and see what happens. his obviously means turning it up more in spring haha. I just want to have fun with it for the rest of the year since i havent had it all summer.

Yes the car hooks too, 2nd and 3rd did not spin when i tried it out on the way home.

Man, if I'm ever down in the Columbus area I'd love to check this thing out! 800+ RWHP on the stock bottom end is rather impressive! Beautiful car and build!!

Thank you. The car actually stays in the cleveland area for the most part. I had it up here in michigan last year but i probably wont bring it back up here until next year.

Crazy numbers man! I love this 7675 on my 5.7. It's so much fun on the street.
I want to start pushing on mine a lil bit once I get a few other supporting mods. How to you like the RXT clutch? Good pedal feel? Mines shot and I got To get something to replace it just not sure what yet.

I love the clutch, way lighter than what i had before and much closer to stock. It grabbed really high when i first put it in, but i have a tick master so once i brought it down some i started enjoying it more. It grabs really quickly and hard if you dont slip it some but thats to be expected when im still getting used to it.

I heard good things about monsters twin but the RXT has proven itself time and time again over years so it was a no brainer for me.

I leaning towards rxt or a monster just not sure yet.
on another note I cant believe the amount of torque you picked up from 4 psi that just nuts.

wow you're lucky to have the stock bottom end stay together at that power. I broked AT LEAST 2 rods at just under 800rwhp.

You are the first person to agree with me on that. I was so much more impressed by the torque this thing made rather than the HP. Idk what it is but this car loves to make serious torque, its always been that way.

that much TQ plus sticky tires, im sure it has to be fun. keeping the rpm's down will help it stay alive too, I never shift mine over 6k and its been downing just fine

It let go just horsing around on the "dragstrip" backroad by my house. 19 psi, and about 4500 rpms in 3rd gear(th350). highest i've spun it was 6500. Mind you this is in a buick regal with stock 2.21 gears and 28" tires. The motor was out of the red 97 in my sig, it has seen multiple passes on a 200 shot and quite a few hits on a 300. stock rod bolts

Yeah the combo makes for a good time. I keep mine to 6300ish or less.

That motor lived a tough life if it made it that long going through that abuse. I love when people ask if it has stock rod bolts and i tell them of course, the rods are going to let loose before the mythical rod bolts do.

rod bolts usually only give you issues if you're turning a lot of RPMs, and you might get some stretch and spin a bearing. stock heads and a 224/230 cam with under .600 lift didnt make power past 6300 so 6500 is all i needed to turn it when it was on nitrous. The boost combo felt a lot faster and went through the RPM's a lot quicker. but if you could imagine your setup in a 4th gear pull with 2.21 gears how much load that is... she was stressed. I think the block might already have had stress cracks in it, because the #7 rod is still intact but there is a hole and a crack coming from the main cap side bolt right above the oil filter (pictured above) it was probably only a matter of time. There is no water leaking out either, radiator is still full and this happened a week ago.

data log showed 141mph (gps sensor) when it came apart. it sounded like a bucket of bolts getting dropped on the ground.

I try to tell people that exact thing, rod bolts only really matter if you are turning more rpm. But yeah, with gears like that, i can only imagine the load on the motor especially at 140mph!

Ive hope that i keep hearing thats what it sounds like and i never get to experience it. Did the car get loose at all from oil coming out?

nah just nosed over and coasted, the pan only broke out of the front so minimal oil was leaked. I got a little bit of spray out of the cracks when the engine was still turning the oil pump, once the engine went to 0 rpm it wassnt much, it still registers on the dipstick
