No its the converter. Locked up converter vs a converter that is incapable of locking. 4L80Es and TH400s basically use the same geartrain from 1st-3rd.

seat of the pants...40 hp...lol...It feels stronger, maybe the higher gears are helping spool the turbo also, Ill know in June when I hit the track.

i have a Frank Lupo 9.5" 3000 stall....no boost launches yet, need to tighten my rear brakes , as soon as I start building boost my car starts to roll forward.

we saw 50-75rwhp (depending on boost) going from ls6 to ls9 cam on 2 applications with only a 4.8l

ya, just because you have ballz of steel. I think I could do that on 15 lbs if I had the Kahonas . Parish was running 9.9's on 15 lbs on a 5.3 in the fairmont with zo6 cam.
