Thats really not bad, alot would be intrested in a Tuner Kit, alot of maggied GTO/TBSS guys wanting to move to the next level. Most of us already have supporting mods & would just require the blower & a few bits to install it. If yall can make a LS1/2 kit it will sell like ****.

Voted YES! I called you guys years ago when I was planning my FI build for my camaro and I was turned away.
Since then, STS and procharger have gotten my money which could have been money in whipple's pocket!

If anyone complains about the price what did they expect it to be $4,000? Its gonna be around $7k and around what a Procharger would cost. Anything is better than having one SC option for our community. If they go through with producing it, after I saw installed pictures and some dyno numbers I would be easily swayed over Procharger even if it costed a little more.

When I bought my maggie from MTI (which I dont recommend anyone ever does business with them) It was well over 6500.00 and it didnt come with everything necessary. It also had the worlds worst mail order tune. So dyno tuning was another 800ish, belt tensioner, making my own intercooler mounts, hoses etc. I spent a **** ton of money making that bitch work. By the time it was all said and done, plus a few supporting mods it was well over 10 grand.
Now, keep in mind, I did all of that for a 1.8 liter roots blower that basically has a cap of around 600 hp with heads, cam, etc, on its performance. And if you spin it too fast it works against itself.
What Whipple is marketing is a 2.9 liter screw compressor that has a much higher ceiling on it's performance abilities. Hell Dutweiller made almost 800hp on a tvs unit with a built motor. This whipple should be able to mop the floor with the tvs unit.
So I say 7500 isn't a bad price at all. Sure it's a lot of money but it's certainly in the ballpark and as long as they can make it fit it will certainly be a contender.

Alright Guys. This is good. 198 YES and 6 F-ing NO's (For some damn reason!!!!). I was not able to get on here yesterday but sifting through some of your PM's and post's here, here are some answers.
The higher ups are really surprised at the interest. They did not think there was still so many people interested in this kit (though I have been telling them for years).
Fitment: Not sure on fitment yet as we have not actually started the project yet but I will update all of you when we get the CAD data done and figure how (if possible) we can squeeze it in there.
Pricing: Price will be comparable to the Gen 5 kit as, for the most part, it is the same kit. Just some bracket, fuel, and tune changes (I hope). The Gen 5 kits retail for: $7500 black/complete, $8000 polished/complete, $6900 black/tuner kit, and $7400 polished/tuner kit. We also offer custom colors starting at the polished prices.
Hope this helps for now. I have received a lot of PM's and emails from you guys and I want to assure you that I am working hard to put this into play for you.

i'm willing to bet that the "no" votes are comming from people who own trailblazer ss, ctsv, and gtos. the motive would be because they want to get the f-body kit vetoed so the whipple guys will move on to developing a kit for their cars....shame on those guys!

I was told that the GTO and F-body share the same pully spacing. If you made a F-body kit would it be possible to get just the head unit and keep the rest of my maggie stuff ie. Heat exchanger/plumbing. like the guys used to do to upgrade to the 122. I am assuming that the whipple would have a iat sensor and a place to put a map sensor?
