Whipple Supercharger for the Gen 4 F-body
Well guys, I am talking to the higher ups about finally developing a kit for the Gen 4 F-bodies. I need as many PM's and emails as possible to show them that there is still in interest out there for this kit. It will be based off of our 2.9L front feed unit like the Gen 5 and C6 Vette kits. Please vote yes or no on weather or not you think Whipple should pursue this kit and tell everyone you know that has a Gen 4 F-body Camaro or Firebird to PM or email me. I don't care if you already have a TT kit, Procharger or Maggie, just tell me you want it anyway. The more "Yes's" I get, the faster I can get it done for you.

On the books as well. My intention is to start with the kit that will generate the most sales so that we have the profit to back up making more and more LS based kits. Also looking into the CTSV, Trailblazer SS, G8 GT/GXP, GTO and Colorado/Canyon

Yes! This is what we have been waiting for! I honestly don't see what took this long to start working on a kit for the 4th gen f-body cars. These cars are one of the most commonly used platforms for building into awsome racecars and insane street cars. People drop tons of money on these things everyday. If you developed a good quality twinscrew for 4th gen f-bodies, you would sell them so fast that you wouldn't be able to turn them out fast enough. Their are guys on this forum asking about top mount blowers on 4th gens all the time. Good luck. I am gonna keep my eye out for this kit.

Remember this...gto, g8, trailblazer SS, and ctsv already have a maggie kit avilable. You will have to compete with them for sales. If you build a kit for the 4th gen f-body you will have a monopoly on the 4th gen top mount s/c market. Not to mention, their were a lot more 4th gen f-cars produced then any of those other choices.

Yesterday! LOL. Will let you know when I am ready for it.
Good deal. WTH!! Who voted no??
Space. Thats what took so long. We had to wait until we had a low enough profile kit that could possibly work with the least amount of fab to the car to make it fit.

This is with NOS but you get the picture. If you read a little bit further down in the thread, you will see a pump gas power level. Guys are making big numbers on the Gen 5's. I expect nothing mess on the Gen 4's. A dealer that I can not mention at this time purchased this blower to test for a new engine package they are doing that the Maggie could not keep up with and made 790 flywheel on 93 octane on a 427cid. They ran race fuel and turned the boost up and hit slightly over 1000 flywheel on the same motor.
My thoughts exactly. My plan would be the 98-02 F-body followed by the 99-06 GM Truck (based off of the 07-11 with minor changes), Trailblazer SS (because we can do the 5.3 Trailblazer/Envoy and the Colorado/Canyon at the same time), GTO and then the G8 in this order.

On The Tree
Got a Yes vote from me. I'm planning on swapping an LS engine into my 6 cylinder camaro and if this comes out when my build starts I'll definitely look into it. Good luck getting it to pass with the higher ups.
