Is it better to weld or Tap...Oil pan!

I get my new Hummer oil pan today. Is it better to weld a -10 an fitting or to tap for one. I don't want to mess up the pan. I think the tap looks better but was worried about leaks.

I had a shop weld it since I don't have the means to weld aluminum. I'd suggest doing that. Tapping just seems sketchy to me and the lastthing you need is an oil leak.

Okay. I will have it welded. Thanks. Now where are you guys getting the fittings. I usually get all my AN fittings from a trucking company but they didn't have any weld in bungs with an AN end. Do I need to order those or are there local stores that carry those. I would like to get these welded tomorrow so I am done with this part.
