If I order 30T and 32T just to have option to change my boost level do I need to order belts or 28T belt will work with your YSI set up ?
What kind of boost should I have with 28T
Thanks
I would run IC1000 injectors. I have had great luck with these up to 1100 RWHP.

The belt will work on any of the pulley sizes.

We have seen 17 to 22 lbs of boost depending on the engine combo.

I had TH400, went 1.35 on 28's, 3500 raceweight, and was running 83 lb low impedance injectors, and I was 8 rib. Without belt slippage 8's shouldn't be a problem for you guys if you go for it.

Loved how that combo came off the 'brake. I think for next year I have decide whether the next project is all motor or FI.
why so low on the compression?

Compression was an experiment, I wouldn't recommend it.

Would I be ok with 83lb high impedance injectors 8:5:1 cr LQ9 421CI with YSI set up ? I think i should order some bigger injectors that Mike is using as well

Ivan you will need bigger ones...Mine is at 84% with 107# injectors.

For everyone that asked about the result, with the 8 rib slipping on 18.5# of boost the car made 856. With the cog and 22# of boost the car made 868 so I think my heads are maxed out around 19#'s. But I have 868hp @ 84% DC, on 100LL avgas at 21* timing. For you guys with a v9-gtrim dont upgrade to a v1 just skip to a ysi and pulley it down if your block is about to blow up. The price difference is only a couple hundred bucks and makes you have room to grow. pm me with any questions thanks.

I also got him to send me a 30 tooth and 32 tooth cog,I think i will start with 32 tooth to see where it gets me then i will order bigger injector.

Mike (YSI-LT1) RMCR,
Nice job on stepping up the game for vortech blowers on an F-body. Do you have any specific kits for the LT1 cars that have the level of development like I'm seeing in your other kits (LS1)?

Nice job. There are some beautiful YSi pics in this thread.

ivan- I ordered a 32t so I can turn my boost down and still have the same at the tires. With an 80/32 you would probably see 24# at the blower outlet.

We have in the works two new bracket designs that we are working on. First is a center mounted set up using the new V-24 and V-27 gear cases from Vortech and Second I would like to make a new bracket set up for the LT1.

As of right now we are only modifying old Vortech LT1 kits or I have a bracket set up that mounts it high on the driver side with a CCW blower for the 94-96 Impala SS

We also have a new kit that mounts the supercharger low on the driver side for the LS. It will support up to a Novi 2200SL right now.

Thanks.

With 22 psi you only made 868 rwhp? Is this with the specs in the sig, the 403 and the 224/230 cam?

I can't see the Patriot Stage 3 heads holding you back.

Sounds bada$$ Ivan, sure makes me want to upgrade my t-trim. Almost warm enough to see what it will do.
