I'm building a 370 with scats I beam rod which are right at 595 grams, quiet a bit lighter then the K1's. The scats are 300$
There's a turbo truck on PT who has made close to 700rwhp on these and still doing great.

I made 850-900 crank HP on eagle SBC I-beams. These were not LS1 specific and had the offset for a SBC which is pretty minor, but I did eventually break a rod below the wrist pin. I doubt the few thousands of offset mattered much but it could have, also could have just been fatigue since Eagle told me these forged rods were only good for 300 hp max. I got somewhere between 20-25k miles out of them before losing one. But back when this motor was built in 2005 I was broke and had it built from old used junk and cheap parts, total cost was $2600 including machining and assembly by a friend for a 370 LS1. This motor was also never intended to make the power it did, goal was high 10's which put me around 600 to the tire and we went way beyond that and it lasted a long time.
New motor is H-Beam rods since they are cheap
Max RPM was 7200 but I usually shifted at 6800 because even that was past my power band because of using a z06 cam in a 370, but that's what it took to go 135mph in 2nd gear at the track (2.75 rear gears, Th400, 28" tires). I wanted a street car I could drag race, not a drag car I could street drive.

Awesome I doubt I will take this car past whatever I make with my current setup. I would much rather sell my car or trade for a better in the future those are pretty awesome numbers though from your build!

Ok thanks guys another ? I never noticed till now my builder put arp 8740 rod bolts in it. Not his fault i just said throw some arp mains and rod bolts in it never specified. The thing is this motor will see 16 psi around 700-750hp with shiftslimited to 6700-6800rpm.Am I pushing my luck with these rod bolts or am I just overthinking everything?

Kinda off topic but let's say the I beams will hold 750rwhp at 6800rpm, my cam is setup to make max power at 6000rpm so I'll be shifting at 5800rpm. Shouldn't the rods hold quiet a bit more power?
