we messed with the tune today. having some issues with the GM 3 bar map. it was reading 90-95 kpa around 800rpm. not sure if it a off brand gm or just a bar sensor...

Dave is making me a 2.5 bar map sensor using a ls3 map body and a ls1 connection. He was explaining to me one time about how our computers have a hard time reading the ls9 sensor. Might want to do some more research on that.

Finally got the car on the street. doing some breaking in on the motor since its all new. I am having a over heating issue, im sure its just air in the system and need a turbo blanket.(it was also 100 deg outside) lol. Hope to get some wot pulls on the dyno soon.
I forgot what it was like with everyone turning their heads to see what the brutal sound is. lol i love the open down pipe..I didnt mean to build such a "racecar"

tried to hit it a little in 1st gear and didnt really do anything..idk if it going to be that much of a dog out of boost or just the tune way off. we will figure it out when i go back for the finally tune on boost....what kind of timing are you guys getting away with on pump gas?

You need to add timing in the afr spark correction table so when you're commanding the afr you see out of boost and up to 3-4psi it is adding 6-10* timing and once it commands afr that you're seeing above 3-4psi it's back to not adding any and only what is in your main timing table.

Finally got on the dyno.
best i made on 10psi was, 450hp 4500rpm 541trq 4800 rpm, after 5k the car falls on its face and dyno curve drops off fast. everything in the tune is perfect. afr/timing/boost all staying the same while its dropping off.
Didnt make any since because the vic jr intake and the bigger "turbo" cam should love the high rpm as well.
We did a compression test to see if he would get some higher or lower numbers to prove the cam was out of time..was getting within a few of 160 on all the cylinders cranking . the static compression is around 8:1 or 8.5:1. the duration on the intake side of the cam is 244. a buddies car with close compression and intake duration has 105 cranking compression.......so we are thinking since we have higher numbers that the the cam is out of time........hope to have it pulled apart tomorrow
