Question Good mods

Can anyone tell me the best mods to start out with on a S/C WS6. I have the wortec V9 and an Atr pitbull catback everything else is stock I would like to get a good 1/4 time out of her I have never ran her but will be going to the track soon probably over spring break, but I have a week and a weekend to do stuff and about a grand left to throw to it. I bought the car with the S/C and catback already on it so I don't really know how good they are so any input on the quality of the catback would be greatly appreciated, the reason I ask is because I haven't seen anyone else on this board with it.

Thanks,
Blake

Long tube headers, 3.73 rear gears, drag radials.
Torque converter if its an auto. High performance clutch and aftermarket shifter if its an 6-speed.
Start with these.

Thanks it's an M6, I forgot to say that I have a pro 5.0 shifter but I think the clutch is messed up bad. What kind of clutch should I get and how much should I expect to spend? Same question with the gears, sorry with all the questions, but I am a total newbie to this power game all I have ever had b4 this was trucks.

Thanks,
Blake

My favorite clutch was the Cartek clutch. It held 530RWHP with no problem. http://www.cartek.net $860 for the entire kit. Around $400 labor.
Gears you can get from just about any f-body online store.
$200 for gears, $100 for installation kit. Around $200 labor.

how long do you expect 10 bolt gears to last on a blown M6?

Depends on how you drive.
If you take your car to the track every weekend, and dump the clutch with drag radials or slicks, the rear will be broken in no time.
But if you drive the car normally, and just nail it from a roll every now and then, it will last much longer.
It's the launches that kill these P.O.S. 10-bolts, blower or no blower.

Blake already has the blower. So its not like he can go back and install a 12-bolt first. Might as well play around with some 3.73's at this point.

hopefully by the first of april I will have a new clutch and rear end. Which sponsors sell good rear ends for a blown car. Also if I get new injectors what size and how much should I expect to spend.

Thanks,
Blake

P.S. I'm sorry for basically asking yall to tell me what to do to my car, but I don't know a lot about it and would like to do it right. So, thanks for taking the time to help me out!

Matt at TTP sells alot of 12 bolts for our cars.... thats what i will be going with in the near future...... what injectors are in the car now? How much boost do you plan on running? I would say go at least with a set of 42# injectors and go from there..........

Everything there is stock and I suppose I will stick with the boost that the v9 gets regularly since I don't know how to up it. I see some posts about smaller pullies do you know what they run, how hard the install is, or if it is safe for the engine. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks,
Blake
