You should post up the pics of your welding skills. It CAN'T be as bad as you think it is. You have done some amazing work on this car. I'm sure your welding is not that bad.

Also, last post I read, you said you were not putting a cage in yet. Does this mean you don't plan on running at the track much? Are you using the chute to slow down on the street or something? Normally people attach their chutes to the roll cage is why I'm asking. Just building a little backwards from most of the builds I see, is all.

Yea we are gonna use the chute to slow down for the stop lights in town you moron!


The cage is in the works, and the parachute does not have to be attached to the cage!!!!

Thanks curt, your work on your car is one of the reason I went to the front mount. The pipe came in yesterday but im not 100% sure of my turbo placement. Was thinning were the battery went but I also want to run the DP on the PS. And a air filter is a must

Ive always liked the way this setup looked and it leaves you room on the drivers side for other stuff like dedicated fuel cell, ps or abs stuff if street car and easy routing of IC-to-intake piping.

Of all the setups I've seen I like the ones that put the turbo where LS1Curt did. It just makes the most sense to me, keep the battery up front if you want, and run a 4" downpipe on the passenger side seems so easy.

Here are some pics of how I did mine. I love having the turbo there because I can fit a nice size puller fan vs when I had it in front of the engine. Before I had two pushers and always hated how hot it would get.

I agree with you Jason, I really like Curt's set-up also. The placement of the turbo and routing of the downpipe is neat, clean, and above all it just works the easiest IMO, but nothing about turbo's or **** is easy as the saying somewhat goes.
