You could flip it 180* too. But some one makes a nice aliminum one my friend had one but I don't remember the brand

I picked mine up from summit along with the ls2 160 t stat. I used the one made by csr worked out great.

You will have to do a small amount of grinding on the inside of the csr housing to get it to clear the thermostat and bolt up flat. Nothing crazy just the inside of the housing is to small for the top of the ls2 thermostat that you will need to keep your heat working right.

Also if you are going to use the griffin radiator you can try what I did. I set it up as a dual pass setup with both inlet and outlet on the driver side. It helps with cooling and makes the radiator hose layout a snap. Just use stainless tubing to make your hoses and your good to go.

I was thinking of something like that.how well does it cool?

I have a single 17 inch fan and the temp stays around 190 most of the time. Even after a few hard boosted runs on the street it will cool off quick. I can take a pic for you tomorrow. All you need to do is move the inlet and outlet to the side you want. Then cut a slot in the tank between the tubes and weld in a plate to divide the tank into two parts.

I have a pic of my old setup its the same just the inlet and outlet on on the other side.

Im on the same page for sure. No kiddingI was thinking of doing this.can't wait to see some more pics
