Default head studs with no gasket change :)

Ok i know everyone will say this is a bad idea but thats not the question. Say a guy had a dirt cheap junkyard motor and was just gunna throw boost at. He happened to have a set of head studs laying around and did want to spend money on new head gaskets for a throw away motor. Would it be feasible to take all the head bolts out and just install the studs in without moving the head or is the seal just screw as soon as the bolt pressure is relieved? Or maybe even do one at a time (which would most likely be worse on the head but possibly better for keeping a seal). The reason i ask is because i have heard of people getting away with even reusing head gaskets after the heads have been off.

Just do them one at a time and you shouldn't have any problem at all

Doing them one at a time has been done countless times, and it works just fine.

Is it the right way to do it? Of course not. Does it work just fine? Absolutely.
