Best Forced Induction Piston?
Best Forced Induction Piston? Wondering what all the upper hp guys are running and why? Well anything above 1000rwhp. Been using Diamond custom non coated and the gapless top ring and been reading a bunch about people not liking Diamond. Gets me thinking.

Whats wrong with Diamond? Where did you read this?
Hypereutectic pistons are more brittle than forged pistons and therefore more likely to snap a ring land. They might be ok for stock replacements, but for a turbo car you probably want the forged piston.

I have a nice set of coated Diamonds. I've cracked a block and the diamond piston that came out of that hole was completely fine, I threw it right in the next motor with no issues. They can take a LOT of abuse.
Its mainly just preference like everything else when building an engine but the design of the piston and the top ring depth. The two sets I used last year were .260 and they offer a .300 but curious as to what other people are using. Wiseco seems to be a choice that others like but Ive personally never used them.

KB make both cast and forged pistons.

Diamond here for years with no issue. Never tried a Wiseco in an LS motor but have had some bad luck with them in other motors. Other people here swear by Wiseco. There really is no best piston. Buy a good name at a good price and be done with it.

Verdad Gallardo Wish it was that simple and not asking for the omg the best piston out there, just wanting to know what others are using and having good success with. This year Ive spent 2k on pistons and wanting to know before I buy another set if I should go a different route or stay with the same Ive been using.
Why? 
Had wiscos in my 408 and had major galling at the bottom of the skirt using there reccomended .0045 clearance. I'm trying coated diamonds this time and they reccomend .007 clearance! I ran them in a different build and they worked flawlessly..007 is a little scary though!

Actually, Wiseco's have a bad rap for galling on the skirts. It is not the pistons fault though. It is the manufacturer's recommendations fault. They say to have a piston to wall clearance smaller than is actually needed. At least this is well documented in the import world. I don't know about the bigger bore engines.

The first go around was due to going lean, ran out of pump. Took out one side so just started new and then that time it was too rich, took out another 5 so going to start over again. Its been a nightmare the past two years, the thing runs damn good if we can keep it together. 2 blown headgaskets, and then the two different times with the pistons which I didnt reuse any bearings or rings, started fresh 
I dont tune my car myself and the tune wasnt aggressive either. Im in the market again and just wanting to basically buy the best option that I can afford. Its not going to fix any other problems but figured why not ask what others are using......
