Default 390ci......F-1A or gt-88.......which will make more power?

Damn F-1A seems way too loud but makes the kind of power goal I'm looking for, which is 850+ RWHP.

What will the 88 do?

390ci.......or a 402ci-408ci......

Advantages/Disadvantages

an 80mm to 83mm works just find for a friends street car making somewhere around 800-1000. an 88 seems like a little over kill but anything between 80 to 88 would fit your goal

I believe it is a 91 with an option of a 94mm. I could be wrong, but i'm switching my build to a 427 GT55 or twin 78s. In speaking with Jose i believe he said 91...

You can get a GT-55 that's an 88, 91 or 94. BW makes one also that's what a S588 is, has a 111mm turbine wheel. GT-47 has a 98mm turbine wheel.

As Automagic said his car makes well over 1000rwhp on a GT-5588.

Turbo it, Lyle.. it's..... easier on parts. That way you don't scare them off with that big F1. I've got some brand new C6 manifolds with your name on them Methinks an 88 with a spool valve would make a wicked street car... Relocate battery, Turbo k-member.. wouldn't be difficult, I wish I placed my turbo up there, the low mount is having drainage problems.. puffs smoke at WOT.

GT88 will be perfect for a street car with your auto trans for 60-160 runs

His turbo is a Mid-frame 88, not a GT55. His car made 1142rwhp with it and smaller cubes. GT47 has a 92mm turbine wheel, the GT50 has a 99mm turbine wheel. Also the GT55 is built in a 80mm all the way to 106mm.

Stick with the smaller cubes. Also we build a big turbine wheel version of the GT88 now as well. Will help take care of the back pressure problem.
