New Dyno 402, Novi 1500, 12.5PSI
Just got a new dyno numbers. Old numbers were 774/738 with a 10.4 afr. We leaned on the car a bit, and now it is running 11.6 afr. Still have a little tuning to do. Done on pump 93 gas with my meth kit turned down to setting #3 out of 8.
My car has a 402, LS3 heads, Novi 1500 that made 12.5 pounds of boost. This is still on a standard 6 rib duralast belt with a flip drive. Had bad experiences with an 8 rib so went back to a 6 rib and seems to be doing fine. Can't wait to get it back out to the track!

First, Merry Christmas to all of you and thanks!
I think the motor is doing the torque work on the car. The car has -6 diamond pistons in it, and the LS3 heads have been worked. Not a whole lot on porting, but milled a bit. It's a long story on compression of the motor since the details are not fully known(please don't pm, I've parted ways with the shop and will not disclose any of it), but we guess it is in the low to mid 10's. Probably 10.1-10.3 area. That combined with my cam hits hard. I chose my own cam myself against the advice of a few people. I'm not a cam expert, but I've seen similar cams(rare) and new what I wanted so that my fiancee was very comfortable in the car. It is a comp 232/244 on a 118+2. With that size cam in a 402 on a 118 lobe, it drives incredible. It also hits right when you stab it.
I had a YSI on the car for about 2 weeks trying to get it ready for the Texas Mile. This was with an Innovators West 8 rib balancer. The balancer turned out to be FUBAR and machined wrong and I threw about 6-8 belts trying to fix the problem. The car hit so hard with the YSI and this setup, though we couldn't get it past 5400rpm on the dyno. It was making like 725rwtq untuned pig rich with no timing and in the 9's AFR.

I don't think so, at least not the way I run the car. I run it the way I run the car everyday on the street, and don't powershift. No light weight wheels/tires or skinnies. I think if I run the car now, I can get a 145-146mph in it with great air. However, this is my trunk, and I haven't brought this toy to the party yet. Want to get 9's on just the blower first. We haven't dynoed, tuned or even tested it yet.
Thanks! I remember those days. I grew up around MTI in Houston and watched these cars start to progress spending hours at the shop. In those days, I was in the Mustang 2v scene and we were just going for 300rwhp NA when the PI stuff came out in 99, tinkering with porting the heads and using reground cams. I trap 6mph more in the 1/8 mile than I ever did in the 1/4 with an NA 2v mustang.
