'68 Lemans Turbo build
#31
Bought a 45/64" 1/2 shank drill bit...which forced me to buy a 1/2" drill, and a 1/2" to 14 NPT pipe die to accommodate my -10 an ebay turbo oil drain fitting. I practiced on the truck oil pan first, then went ahead and knocked out the CTS-V pan. Turned out pretty well, however the fittings to the pan seemed flimsy, so I went ahead and spent the $6 and got two 5/8" fittings to screw in place. Cleaned out the pan of all shavings, applied etching primer and will paint it orange when I get home.

Looking good man, looks like we are about the same point in the build, I need to get my thread caught up. I like the orange valve covers and intake! sets it off big time, gonna have to copy you on the valve covers at least haha. Keep up the progress!

well if you don't have a welder you can rivet in a piece or go hill billy on it and jb weld sheet metal over it then smooth it over with bondo and paint it when all else fails........... duct tape lol
I'm going to weld mine up with sheet metal then smooth it out with bondo and paint. just a thought.
