Ok, didnt know that about silicon bronze but that would explain why my cousin gave me some silicon bronze rods when I was having issues with a leaky fuel rail. What about ER70 though, thats for mild steel, I have always used 99Ni for cast but what do you join cast to 304SS with? 309L?

Ive yet to jump on the bandwagon that is welding to the stock manifolds, but will be doing that soon.

My best bet would be a 304 or 308L. I was taught that when ever joining dissimilar metals, and one of the parent metals is stainless, use stainless rod. That hasnt failed me in 20+ years of tig work.

I've never used a 304 filler rod but as for the 308 wouldn't you think a 309 would be better? I was taught that 308 was for joining 304SS to 304SS & 309rod was for joining 304SS to mild steel. Always looking to learn something new though.

Looks like Kansas City wants us to race on the streets. After all Kansas City is the one who closed the track.

The track got a offer and took it around 34 cars per average race it didn't cover the bills they ran off new people look at the came out check the carnage this year! Hopefully we will get some better tracks.

When you the vamp guys crying out of desperation on tv you knew it was hurting.
Alot called months before it happened.
