Default map question

ive been gathering all my parts together and looking for a 2 bar map. i was wondering if theres a difference between these two maps or if they both work the same? sorry i tried searching but didnt come up with an answer.

i will be using a Vic jr. manifold so the sensor location will be mounted somewhere hidden.

The top style is designed to be a push in into the manifold.
The lower is what we use on the turbo Buick applications. [Mounted on the firewall and plumbed w/ hose.]

the second one is like the stock one in the manifold of a lt1. and the first one looks like a ls1 manifold one. im not 100% sure

Yeah i know that. Im goin to run a vacuum line to it wherever i mount it. Im tryin to find out if i could use either or.

I used the bottom mounted on my GTO, id make sure the wiring is the same, we had to make a pig tail for mine when we used it in the GTO. GTP sensor.

On the stock truck MAP's there is a white finned piece attached that looks like it is to keep it cool. Is that necessary or can you just mount it directly to the firewall? Also, does it need it's own vacuum source or can you "T" off the BOV? Sorry to hijack. Figured no need to start a new thread if it can be answered with this. Probably some more good info.

no problem man. i was actually goin to ask the same cause my intake only has 2 ports off of it. one small one and one big one (for the brakes).
