map question
map question ive been gathering all my parts together and looking for a 2 bar map. i was wondering if theres a difference between these two maps or if they both work the same? sorry i tried searching but didnt come up with an answer.
i will be using a Vic jr. manifold so the sensor location will be mounted somewhere hidden.

the second one is like the stock one in the manifold of a lt1. and the first one looks like a ls1 manifold one. im not 100% sure

On the stock truck MAP's there is a white finned piece attached that looks like it is to keep it cool. Is that necessary or can you just mount it directly to the firewall? Also, does it need it's own vacuum source or can you "T" off the BOV? Sorry to hijack. Figured no need to start a new thread if it can be answered with this. Probably some more good info.
