If I was a ricer guy is swap it in just to be a smart ***. Imagine your ls1 f body getting beat by some six cylinder f body. I think its got that shock and awe factor for shure. I remember a kid that had a very clean mid 80's monte carlo with a ford 351 in it. He asked the guy that he got it from why the Ford and the answer was he was sick of all the chevys in Ford bodys.

That looks like an old school Greddy (Mitsubishi) turbo. They had those God awful diesel like turbine housings that didn't spool up till about 4500, and by today's standards, had some pretty inefficient compressors (68-70%). Talk about an "on-off" switch when driving. At least HKS used Garrett stuff that was tailored more toward passenger vehicles, but I would have pretty much had to double-up on Britannica sales to get one back then.
My question is why this kind of swap when a V8 & trans drop right in? Seems like the 2JZ nostalgia is hard pressed not to go away any time soon. I love that motor, and know it well, but you just can't beat a boosted LS now-a-days.

The turbo looked small to me....I've seen an 88mm turbo.........and it did look a bit small.
When he said 88mm.....I asked him if he was sure. I forgot the brand of turbo is was, I never heard the name of it before. He said an 88mm I would put on a LSx is typically a bigger outer size then his.....
Hell, I don't know....

I talked to the guy for 5 minutes, can't remember everything he said.
Yea...****....LT1. His 2000 was the Anniversary WS6 sitting next to it.
I'll be back over there soon, he's changing the exterior back glass molding on my car soon. I'll get details on the psi, tranny, brand of turbo and size.
