I got that pipe with my LS6 manifold when I ordered it in 2002. So, yes it does fit.

Looking at automagic's picture, I firmly believe he did not crack the block. If anything, there were slight 'scratches' in the bore from normal wear and tear. Cylinder #5 had the same 'scratches'. I don't think they were deep enough to catch a finger nail implying that a normal clean up/hatch would take those marks out.

Give Brien a couple weeks to get the engine out, then he can fully assess the situation. It's tough in the car as we all know.

@JaYZeig- Replace your coolant tube pic with a smaller one. It's F$%^#!@ huge! You need to scroll right to read posts = annoying.

Here is what I did to connect the rears to the front. I think it's ridiculous to spend $250 or whatever it is on that one kit to connect rears to the front. This costed about $25

Sorry about the oil/coolant stains still there from when I was pressurizing in boost from the crack...lol

Is there a part number for that on Nook and Tranny website?
Could not find it for some reason.

I'm going to see if the factory coolant crossover above will fit below a fast manifold. I'm going to measure to see how tight it actually is.

Does that accomplish the same thing as the rear coolant tubes?

Would the addition of a water wetter help reduce some of the vapor as well?

Yes it does, but I already have the factory one, and would like to try and make it work before I drop $200 on something additional. Who knows, I may sell my FAST and throttle body for someone's ls6 intake and throttle body plus cash.

I'm thinking it might. Hell, I'm thinking about going to Evans coolant since it's about $100 to run it and supposedly it won't get hot spots like typical antifreeze does.

What does that do? Just vent the steam to atmosphere?

You dont get just steam out of the ports. You will have a pretty steady stream of coolant because of the preasure. There is a 5th an line not hooked up in that picture that goes to the radiator. Kurt urban is great at what he does, and this setup flow better then factory. I think its stupid not to spend 250 dollara for insurance on your motor!

Chances are I will get the KUP setup, especially if it outflows the stock setup.

That kurt urban piece is pretty badass looking..what is the general rule of thumb as to when these two rear cylinders need to be vented?

How would it work on an ls6 intake??? I have the factory ls1 steam tubes in place and I just cut the tabs off the ls6 mani before I installed it.

It will reach over a factory style intake. I will also be using one of these when my new motor goes in

Are you running the rubber hose to the rear under the intake?

Wow, this is something I hadn't considered in my build. It sounds like good insurance though, but at what point does venting the rear of the heads become necessary? I'd like to do the KUP once I go e85 and up the boost, but I'm sitting at 12.5psi right now on 93 pump. I'm only sitting a little over 600whp
