Well I have been crazy busy this last week doing some side work and I haven't had a chance to update this but I went out last Wednesday to do some testing. First hit off the trailer was a 9.8@141mph I had an issue with a vacuum line to the waste gate. I fixed that made some changes to the 2 step and a few other things. And went back out to make another pass results to follow

5.858 @ 122.23
9.062@153.37

Not a new best pass but it is the best 60' the car has ever done. and I even pedaled it to keep the front end down as it was well on its was to the bumper. Sorry I don't have any video as I forgot the SIM card for my GoPro.

I didn't make anymore passes that night as about 5 min after that my Friend Totaled his Procharged C5 after a failure on the big end. He thinks tire I think he blew a head gasket and drove though his coolant as there was a ton of Smoke. He hit the wall near the 1000' going around 130. After this I had no desire to do anymore racing that night



I plan to get some travel limiters in the car soon and go back out for some testing in a few week.

Lastly, you make me very jealous with that trailer. I would love to have an enclosed trailer. Hell I am trying to buy my first flatbed here pretty soon. But I guess you got to start somewhere, huh?

Yeah my Mike was fine after the wreck. He was in really good spirits about it. Hell the car wasn't even off the track and he was already saying he was just going to get a roller and swap his stuff over.

Yes that 9.0 was on 14 psi. I haven't really turned the car back up yet this year.


I had my open solid deck trailer for almost 4 years before I got this enclosed.

Damn !!! Is that Mike P procharged 346ci ZO6 that ran 9.9 with stock engine before??
I hope he's OK I'm sure he can find a roller or high mileage FRC and install the parts again.

Yep that is MikeP It however is just a coupe not a Z and as long as I have known him it has had a built motor. 383 with AFR heads and currently has an F1 on it. It has been 9.7 before

dschmittie1, are you still using the Virginia Speed VTC2 cam in your car? How do you like it? Is there another cam that you think would be better for your CI+heads+turbo size?

Just curious because I am kinda looking around at cams for my 370ci w/AFR 225's, and I am going to be running the same turbo as you. My cam currently is a custom ground by LME. 236/232 - 114LSA .603/.603
