s480 will make alot more then 700hp....but you should have no problem spooling the 480 with the 83mm wheel

I had a stock ls1 with a blower cam and 6sp and s480 1.32 96mm wheel and it was not to bad made 1lb at 3600rpm and 10lbs at 4000....power came in hard....the auto will help you soooo much

Going with the larger 96mm and doing a 4000 on mine. Looks like we may have a good number of 5.3 s480s with various turbines coming soon.

Are you doing any rod bolts and rod bearings? Im also doing the same turbo but the 83mm what stall size would be best?

ARP rod bolts and head studs. I relied on the experience of Circle D converters to come up with my stall speed. They determined that a converter that flashed to 4000 rpms would be best. Hoping that is the case! If not I can always have them adjust it. Best I can tell, you will probably be within 500 rpms of me on spool up, but it really depends on exactly what your purpose for the build is. Mine is more drag race than street.
