Wait till you see the kit everything stainless, the flange and rod for the brace. So its going to be a nice piece.

Very nice, I am jealous for sure! One day I will learn that technique, till then it will be my ugly free hand stuff, lmao. It is getting better though!

I say pull a couple caps to check bearings throw your arp bolts/ studs on the new motor clean it up and let it eat. No since in turning a 300 dollar junkyard motor into a 600 or 700 dollar motor. That's the beauty of a 300 dollar motor you really don't have to give a crap about it.
The downside is the time to swap motors out. Let's not forget if the rod actually broke and punctured the pan while he was doing 100mph+ it could easily oil down the rear tires and send him into the tree's. I've seen a few cars pushed and oil down the tires.

I'm just hoping to run this till the end of the season and I'm dropping my other block off to get it built all forged 370? Or maybe something else? I'm open to suggestions

Verdad Gallardo I've seen some people use sheet metal pans under the motors for that reason not sure how effective that would be but I guess it's a piece off mind, any chance you have a alignment bar for some rearend welding need to have one shortened and some other welding done to it?

Motor all set ready to go. Just waiting for my PTC converter to come in. Also deleted my hvac so it would clean up the bay a little.

Fact is you never have enough room. My shop bout to be 40x30 and plans to add another 12x40 beside are near after current project is done. Get tear downs or builds going on shop clutters up fast...
Op keep at man, once it goes back in, it wont skip a beat.
