Sounds like the scales are way off.

Time to put it on a diet. Mine is sitting at 3175 with no lead in it and me in it. I still have power windows, power door locks, door bars, all factory glass and every single piece of plastic interior paneling in the car other than the center console. No mini tubs and I still have factory upper/lower control arms and spindles. Oh yea, and the factory gas tank too lol.

Motivation for ya.

3175 with you in it and a 25pt? What do you have taken out that is making up such a large weight difference?? Maybe the scales are off but they aren't off much
I could take out 100 with just interior removal and half tank of gas after that it's going to get expensive

So I haven't updated this in a while have been dealing with issues all year. After about 250 miles on the new motor i noticed the oil pressure gauge bouncing at idle but under wot was great had 70+ oil pressure. Then after taking it for a test ride before the track got home and it idled around 20 and knew i didnt have much left. Took it to the track the next day mid pass looked at the gauge and had about 25psi WOT so threw it back on the trailer. Yanked the motor out to see the mains destroyed. Brought it back to the shop that built it and after 3 weeks they told me the crank was bent and cracked....The Crank in the motor was actually from the motor that made about 1050ish hp so in my opinion the crank was never checked before it actually went into this motor and was already on its way out. But either way just waiting for a couple fittings and my turbo to be sent back and i'll go at it again! This time around i got a fuel cell in the stock location, Holley Dominator 12-1800 pump -10 Line for e85 -8 return Y Feeding the rails and changed my seats from the Corbeaus (37lbs each) To the Kirkey's being 11lbs each so a total i've taken out about 175lbs so far.

Here are some pictures of the mains lol

This is about 1/2 of the flakes i found in the bottom of the pan.

Motor #5

At least we found some use for my bent crank and rods

Soon as the Turbo comes back i'll be at the track again and hoping to make the YB Nats next week

I like the dog. That's pretty cool using old parts for something lol. I hope to get mine down around 3200 range as well. I took my hvac stuff and airbag/bracket out of the dash this weekend when I reinstalled and that stuff had to weigh 40lbs. Especially the airbag stuff. I weighed my car before with all stock stuff plus the turbo stock on old setup and was only 3400 with a half tank and 3 gal of methanol w/o me in it. I know with auto trans fluid, cage, blah blah its gonna be hard to get back below that especially with twins and iron block.

Still running the Transmission Specialties RMVB TH400? Their shop is located 5 mins from my house. Do you have a JW Ultra Bell on it?

I think I'll be at 3300 and 3500 with me which is fine for now and should help the parts from getting their asses kicked as bad

Yes I am. It's been a badass transmission and taken such a beating. No JW bell
I'm trying like hell to make it but it's not easy just got a call saying my center section on the turbo is shot again! Def surprised me I get it the mains were destroyed but it lasted maybe 50 miles and 5 dyno pulls

Wow that dog is badass. Probably my favorite part of this build. . . Obviously kidding.

This car is badass and can't wait to see it back at the track. What crank did you use this time around?

Sucks about the turbo. Good luck getting it back together.

I thought you had to run a JW Bell or an SFI blanket/shield on the transmission?

Haha guard dog!!
Unfortunately stock I was told it had oiling problems then he actually took it apart and put it back together before I had a chance to say I wanted a forged crank. He told me it was bent and cracked after he put it together......

So worked on the car all night to get it tested at the track before the YB Nats next week never had a chance to even drive the car before the track first pass just low boost then checked everything out and kept turning it up overall day went well and will try to get a couple more passes in before we head to MD.
