thats what it looked like, thanks. but did you have any problems getting them to work? one of my hesitations going with the plastic intake is the aftermarket fuel rails are like $200

i just found this thread and i love the chassis work you did on the truck, do you happen to have a few more of the rear suspension? and in the front did you make those lower control arms also?

The iats were a bit warm. 250 something on that pass. 25psi
I think that's the 1/4 5.3 record. But that is too specific for it to be a "record" in my eyes. I want to go faster than any stock ls, not just a 5.3. I'm going to work on the 60ft and try to get some more mph out of it somehow.
I have a 6.0 and a 6.2 laying around but I am a bit hesitant to beat the **** out of those "expensive" engines. Something about it being just a 5.3 and I don't have a second thought about its well being.

Isn't your timing in the single digits? Wait for the "you can run more timing than that with E85!" It's always the guys that have blown up every engine they've put their hands on that say that.

mine is a stock block/crank flat top 370 E85 my timing is 20* 21# boost on a pass
I think he bumped the timing up at one point after encouragement from my buddy Blake and it spit the head gaskets out or some other failure.
.02 quicker than my Crusty turd has been, although 300# lighter. Chris is a stand up guy, congratulations on picking it up. I think those turbos would respond well to a larger engine, like a 427.

The truck is impressive as they come!! Makes me have second thoughts about running an intercooler at all on my build but I have an expensive JY engine, LQ9 6.0! Hahaha. I am impressed with the idea of pulling timing once the IAT's reach a certain temp thresh hold so that it doesn't detonate. This is my first turbo build from scratch so Im just going to run an A/W intercooler under the hood until I get comfortable tuning the new setup then I may try ditching the intercooler.
