stock 5.3 TT build: THE GRENADE
#141
A lot has changed since last year. Designed my own motor plates and machined parts myself. A friend made a few parts that were more difficult( not seen yet) Entirely new wiring harness. Lots and lots of work while trying to keep it on a budget

haha.. Bout time you put something up, you def beat me to using the upper injectors lol. Looks really nice man, well done.
I have a question, now that your cat is outta the bag,
As i've been building this season, im stuck with two ways of doing things and no one i can find has tried it or has been willing to share.
When you switch to the true dual fuel, are you going to allow the base injectors to remain running or relay trickery them off?
My thoughts have been, small injectors, mess with the duty cycle to a good result is met and leave them run, maybe it'll help with lighting it off, maybe it wont, maybe itll be great, maybe it wont, just curious on what your thoughts were as well.
My intentions are to do the latter, leave them and play with it and move the duty cycle around etc.
Thanks,
Kyle

PS, its a relief to know they are working well that high up in the runner, as mine are from the looks of it, in about the exact same location. Makes me feel better lol.
I already measured, and im going to have to mill and clearence a little ways for the Billet atomizers on mine as they are apparently about 1mm wider and mine are basically touching now.

I wired both injectors sets in a way the the ecu can turn on/off the B+ to them. I'm in the same boat as you and don't know which way will work best. But I'll sure try it out.
Ive been a wuss on this thing so far, only been up to 17psi and 5500rpm on the street, but it sure feels quick. The secondary injectors seem to be doing fine where they are. . . . .so far
The manifolds and hotside are made with smaller pipes this go around, the flow is more streamlined too. Pretty stoked thus far. In high gear at 50mph, you can stomp the gas down and the manifold is in positive pressure before tps hits 100%
Transbrake testing shows positive pressure almost 2 seconds quicker than last year. I'm really looking forward to this weekend and hoping the rain holds off

Norwalk Ohio.
A great track and the only one to sell a pound of icecream for a dollar.
Its gonna be a big event (nmca and also an official race for the lsx series) as long as the weather holds out

Right on man. Well if the weather holds off, best of luck to you. That truck has always been impressive. Makes me want to max out my credit card since you are killing me on the time frame lol.

He is using a Holley Dominator EFI .
Chris, Updates man! I heard you were at LS Fest from a friend of mine that was down there running a Gunmetal Grey Fox with forward facing twins, in TS.
How did it go man? Did you get the methanol going?
