Help me choose a cam 5.3 with a s480
My old setup was a forged lq4 with a borg warner s480 turbo with the 1.32 96mm wheel exhaust and race cover compressor housing. It made 770whp with a Zo6 cam threw a powerglide and ptc 5500 stall. I ran 9.52@147. Long story short - I lost a lifter and damaged the cam. I also lost a rod bearing. Now I'm running a stock lm7 5.3 and want to pick a cam that will do good in this setup and eventual swap it over to the 6.0 when I get it back together. Also for the 6.0 I think I'll switch over to a ls3 head & intake when I get it back together vs the 317's I was running. The last thing I would like to mention is I'm running comp 918 springs so I was trying to keep the lift well under the .600 rating. I'm shooting for the 850~900whp range and hopefully 8.99's.
So the two I was thinking about were the:
Comp xr281hr 228/230 .571/.573 112 $349 - hotrodmag 4.8L twin 76mm = 1200 flywheel hp
or
speed inc tu1 225/225 .581/.581 113 $380 - http://www.ls1speed.com/article2/index.htm - 76mm 348ci = 851 wheel hp
Here are some picture of my setup.

Wondering if some of the more "NA" split cams might not work better on the large turbo with a smaller motor. I was looking at an article last night by gm high tech where they took a 5.3 and tested it with 2 cams by comp and stock vs fast 102. Interesting findings. They can cams and intake both in NA trim as well as with the turbo.
