So on the hat, you have to trim the lip that's on the edge down in that area so that the hat will go all the way on. Once you do that, it'll seat fine. I also found putting some heat to the plastic helps as well. Not a lot, I'm talking hairdryer hot.
yeah i had noticed that, but never even thought about grinding it down. they are not giving us alot of lip to bite down on either. Its kind of a real estate issue. I think the T bolt clamp was a wider than the lip. Seems like when I tried to get it suuuuuper tight, the clamping force, moved forward, and made it slip off.
