I am ordering them very soon. Car will be back together with some new and improved components as soon as I can get the parts in, and the motor out.

Have you thought about since you have the motor out and apart, to throw everything in a 5.3 aluminum block to knock some weight off the front? I have been seeing them going for about 300 on here.

If I do that, I might as well take it to the machine shop and get it balanced....or better, just drop it all off and pick it up ready to go. I am not ready to do that just yet, I want to get this car done and back on the road.

That was a fun ride with near zero traction, LOL. The tires had 20+ psi in them from the ride home from the track the day before...they were worthless.

That car really is outrageous, ESPECIALLY to think that it's doing this **** with broken pistons!

Were you able to notice any difference from the suspension changes? Still looks like it launches really nice and just pretty much goes straight. Amazing!

It doesn't launch as violently now. The rise is more controlled and the car feels more stable throughout. I am also beginning to wonder if the stiffened suspension may in some way be responsible for the way it is launching now. Before, it would just explode as soon as the anti-lag was released. Now, unless the boost is pretty high, it seems to struggle and then go. Not quite a bog, but not as eager as it used to be. Not sure if that has anything to do with the way the tire is getting loaded now, or that the motor is just starting to show a reduction in power.

I guess I will find out!

it really is much wilder than most people think to go 140mph at 3400lbs
and it hooks up decent on the street.

the surprise of what speed its capable of is really what catches people off guard i think

Precisely. Here is the average conversation I have at the track:

Stranger: Grocery Getter!!!

Me: LOL

Stranger: Man, what is in this thing?

Me: Just a truck motor and a big turbo.

Stranger: Well, I saw it pull up and it didn't sound like much. Then I heard it during the burnout and it got my attention. As soon as I saw it run, I said sheeeeeit, I have to go see that thing up close!!!

Me: Yeah, it does move along pretty good.

Stranger: What was that pass?

Me: Eh, that was a 10.2 @ 136.

Stranger: ****! You know you can make alot of money with this car?

Me: Yeah, so I have been told....oh, that was with 7 cylinders. I have a bad ring land on #5.

Stranger: Really?

Me: Really.

That is the conversation 95% of the time I go to the track. Car presents a very docile image. Makes a pass, everybody in the place is crowded around it. I must admit, I get a real kick out of it.

It is. I do want to grudge race the car, so I run N/T. That makes more people come up and ask what it ran, LOL.
